hi,
I’m interested in learning more about the anesthesia free dental cleaning for my dog. Will she be evaluated first? How long is the procedure? What is the cost? Thank you.
Hi Susan. This is a very professional service that is overseen by a veterinarian and a highly trained dental team which includes an evaluation from the vet and dental technician. The non anesthesia procedure which includes a full cleaning and polishing usually lasts 20 to 30 minutes depending on the condition of the teeth and gums which is less stress on your pet. The cost depends on how often you pets teeth are cleaned, however a first time is usually $165 which I’m told is very reasonable compared to the $300 to $600 I’ve heard quoted for cleaning with anesthesia. I see it as a very stress free, reasonable way to extend their lives and keep their mouth healthy. Thanks for your questions..
