Healthy Food for Your Pet

Healthy Food for Your Pet

If you knew more about the ingredients in most widely sold pet foods, you would never buy them again. Providing your pet with quality, natural food products will lead to a longer life and fewer vet bills!

I recommend three simple solutions:

  1. Know the ingredients; do not feed your pet anything you wouldn’t eat. Look for human grade ingredients without BHA, BHT, Ethoxyquin, animal digest or by products, corn, wheat, soy, sugars, glutens, salts or dyes from quality companies.
  2. Take control of their nutrition with a balance of fresh, raw or cooked meals with appropriate supplements.
  3. Know your pets, they are as individual as you are. Seek guidance through books, classes, web sites or hands on with a nutritionally trained professional such as a holistic veterinarian or nutritionist.

I will provide more specific information in subsequent blogs and you can find links to helpful articles, recipes and research in my Pet Health Library.
